Small Business Electrician Services That Keep You Running

Small businesses can't afford electrical problems that stall operations, fail inspections, or create liability. All Electric is a fully licensed electrical contractor serving light commercial properties throughout the Front Range. CO License #ME.0600978. Fully insured. Nine years in the trade, 468 Google reviews, 4.9 stars. When the work has to be permitted, code-compliant, and finished without a callback, call (720) 951-4619 or schedule online.

Light commercial electrical work covers a wide scope: panel upgrades and service entrance work, new circuits for equipment and signage, lighting retrofits, code violation corrections, and tenant improvement wiring. What drives scope and cost is usually the existing infrastructure. A property with an undersized service entrance, aluminum branch wiring, or outdated panels requires more engineering than a clean build-out. Access conditions, permit requirements, and inspector coordination all factor in. Every job is different, contact All Electric for an accurate estimate. All labor carries a one-year warranty.

What Light Commercial Electrical Work Actually Covers

Most licensed electricians stop at residential. All Electric doesn't.

01

Panel Upgrades and Service Entrance

Undersized panels are the most common constraint in older commercial buildings. We upgrade service entrances, install 3-phase panels where required, and coordinate utility cutover. Every upgrade is permitted and inspected.

02

Dedicated and Equipment Circuits

Commercial kitchens, HVAC equipment, compressors, and point-of-sale systems all need dedicated circuits sized to actual load. We calculate draw, run the correct wire gauge, and protect circuits with properly rated breakers. See our 120V to 277V circuit work for the full range.

03

Commercial Lighting

LED retrofits, occupancy-controlled lighting, exterior security lighting, and signage circuits. We size the circuits correctly and pull permits when the scope requires them. Our light installers handle both new installations and fixture replacements.

04

Tenant Improvement Wiring

Retail build-outs, office reconfigurations, and restaurant conversions all require coordinated electrical rough-in. We work with general contractors and directly with business owners. Timeline and scope are confirmed in writing before we start.

05

Code Violation Corrections

Insurance renewals, property sales, and city inspections surface violations that need a licensed contractor to correct. We document the deficiencies, correct them to current code, and provide written confirmation for your records.

06

Electrical Troubleshooting

Intermittent breaker trips, voltage drop under load, and unexplained outages are diagnosable problems. We carry testing equipment capable of identifying the failure under operating conditions, not just at the panel. See our troubleshooting service for more detail.

How We Work

Three Steps From First Call to Final Inspection

  1. 01

    Site Evaluation

We assess your existing service entrance, panel capacity, branch wiring, and load requirements. You get a written scope before any work begins.

  2. 02

    Permitted Installation

All commercial work is pulled with the correct permits. We schedule inspections, coordinate with inspectors, and don't hand you a project that can't pass.

  3. 03

    Documented Completion

Inspection sign-off, panel directory updates, and a one-year labor warranty in writing. You have what you need for your insurance carrier or future tenants.

What We Don't Do on Commercial Jobs

panel upgrades and service entrance work, professional service in Denver, CO
We don't subcontract the work out. The crew that shows up is licensed and has worked together. We don't start work without a permit when the scope requires one, even when a client asks us to skip it. That's how businesses end up with unpermitted electrical they can't disclose when they sell or refinance the property. We don't quote a replacement when a repair is the right call. And we won't take on a scope we can't complete correctly. That's a short list, but it matters. Most of the calls we get from businesses with existing electrical problems start with a contractor who skipped one of those steps. If your property needs a remodel with electrical scope, our remodeling electricians handle the coordination.

Electrician came out the next day after calling to install two light fixtures. Minimal issues and got them both installed successfully even though we have an old home. Pricing was reasonable to me. I will definitely be using them again for any similar needs!

Common Questions About Commercial Electrical Work

Does light commercial electrical work require a permit in Colorado?
Most commercial electrical work does, including panel upgrades, new circuits, and tenant improvement wiring. The permit requirement is set by the local jurisdiction, not the contractor. All Electric pulls permits for all scopes that require them. Work performed without permits creates disclosure obligations and can void your property insurance. It's not a shortcut worth taking.
What's the difference between light commercial and heavy industrial electrical?
Light commercial covers retail, office, restaurant, and small multi-tenant properties typically running single or three-phase power up to 400A service. Heavy industrial involves higher voltages, complex motor control systems, and manufacturing environments. All Electric works in the light commercial category. If your facility has equipment that routinely draws more than 400A or requires specialized motor control, we'll tell you upfront.
Can you coordinate with a general contractor on a tenant improvement project?
Yes. Most of our commercial projects involve a GC managing the broader scope. We communicate directly with the project manager, confirm rough-in schedules, and don't create bottlenecks at inspection. If you're managing the project yourself, we work the same way. Either direction is fine, what we need is a confirmed scope and timeline before mobilizing.
What happens if an electrical inspection fails on a commercial property?
We re-inspect at no additional charge when a failure is related to work we performed. If the failure involves pre-existing conditions that weren't part of our scope, we document the issue clearly so you know exactly what needs to be addressed. We've never left a client holding a failed inspection without a path to correction.
How do you handle circuit breakers that trip repeatedly under commercial load?
Repeated tripping under load is either a breaker that's rated too low for the actual draw, a wire gauge mismatch, or a downstream fault the breaker is responding to correctly. We don't just swap the breaker, we measure the actual load under operating conditions, inspect the branch circuit, and identify what's driving the trip. Replacing a breaker with a larger one without diagnosing the cause is a code violation and a fire risk.
Do you service commercial properties during business hours or after-hours only?
All Electric operates Monday through Friday 5am to 9pm, Saturday and Sunday 7am to 8pm. We don't offer after-hours emergency dispatch. For most commercial electrical work, planned scheduling during those windows is the right approach. If your project requires after-hours access due to tenant occupancy, that's a scheduling conversation we can have upfront.
