Electric Code Violation Repairs
When you get that notification… the one that says you have code violations. It generally stops any project in its tracks. This is a moment no home or business owner wants to go through. Unfortunately, it happens far more often than you would think.
But HOW does it happen?
There are a few ways and we are going to talk about the main two.
1. Unlicensed Electricians
2. Codes Are Updated
Firstly, let’s talk about the unlicensed electrician. If you follow us, you know that we have a short fuse with this one. Using unlicensed electricians is unsafe. You should never allow an unlicensed electrician to work on your electrical. There are no two ways about it. It is dangerous and can lead to serious consequences.
Secondly, codes are updated. Materials are updated, practices are updated, and things simply change. As we evolve in our profession and as we grow as an industry, we learn more. Plain and simple. As we do, government entities update code practices to match all that we have learned by previous mistakes. While it can seem like it is a hassle, from a safety standpoint, it is fantastic.
Furthermore, we need to update how we do things as we learn to do them better, safer, and more efficiently.
