Outlet receptacles, also known as electrical boxes, provide power. Electrical devices and appliances all run on this provided power. Commonly referred to as “power outlets” or simply, “outlets”. The standard outlet receptacle used in the United States and Canada is the NEMA 5-15R, which features two vertical slots for the plug prongs and a grounding hole. However, other countries may have different types of outlet receptacles, such as the British G-type, European C-type, or Australian AS/NZS 3112.
